When J.J. Abrams appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to to promote his latest project Star Trek Into The Darkness, I don’t think anyone was really surprised how quickly the conversation turned to Star Wars. And of course everyone has advice for Mr. Abrams, including William Shatner and Billy Dee Williams:

The much anticipated Episode VII has been the topic of conversation of geeks across the galaxy. Add in a director who famously rebooted the Star Trek franchise and somehow geeks are both at each others throats as well as embracing each other.

George Takei and William Shatner both pulled April Fool’s Day pranks this year stating they were each cast in Episode VII while Star Wars fan pages throughout the interwebs changed their branding to Star Trek indicating Disney threatened to sue over copyright issues.

While J.J. doesn’t have much to tell us just yet about the future of Star Wars, I think all geeks can agree that expectations are high and we’re all very excited.
